Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Roof replacement, approximately 45,000 sq. ft., at James J. Curiale School located at 300 Laurel Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. The scope of services will include the complete removal of 45,000 sq. ft. of existing roof materials, inspection of roof decking, installation of new decking (as required), new membrane roofing, flashing and sheet metals, roof accessories and specialties including new skylights, and all as required to obtain a new twenty (20) year warranted roofing system. Bidders are advised to be familiar with the requirements of the bid, including but not limited to, wages, insurance, bond form requirements and contract compliance issues. Attention to bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Each bid shall be signed by the bidder and accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to the Treasurer, City of Bridgeport The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to award based upon the evaluation of the bid package in the best interest of the City. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to waive any formalities, irregularities, or technical defects in the Bids and award based upon the evaluation of the bid package in the best interest of the City. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in bidding if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Bridgeport. This contract is subject to utilization goals and requirements for participation of certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE). The utilization requirement for certified African American Owned Business Enterprises is six percent (6%) of the total contract sum. The overall utilization goal for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises is nine percent (9%) and for Women-Owned Business Enterprises is fifteen percent (15%).
