STC (Single Trade Contractor - MECHANICAL) The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to install new superheater within existing Boiler No. 6. Included is demolition of some existing equipment and piping and the installation, set- up, testing and demonstration of the operation of the existing boiler. This project is a direct replacement of the superheater assembly in Boiler #6 - Cleaver Brooks CP-4188. The Contractor shall remove section existing boiler casing to provide access to existing superheater for removal. The Contractor shall remove existing side wall insulation in area required to adequately remove existing superheater assembly. Disconnect and remove existing expansion bellows at side wall (total of (4)). Disconnect and remove elbow and pipe sections thru side wall of boiler to superheater (total of (4)). The Contractor shall remove existing side wall and division wall, see plans for area of work. Disconnect both wall sections from upper and lower steam drums. The Contractor shall remove and replace the existing superheater associated with Boiler #6. Connect loose shipped piped elbows to new superheater assembly. Once new superheater has been installed within existing Boiler No. 6, Contractor shall reassemble the existing boiler to functional condition: o Install bellows expansion joints o Install division wall and side wall o Install insulation o Install exterior casing Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. In general the work consists of removal and replacement of the existing Charter Street Heating Plant 1(CSHP) Boiler #6 superheater assembly in its entirety and brings the boiler to a fully functional condition, 2 meeting the original design conditions. Base Bids will be received as follows: A single lump sum bid for All Work.
