Site work for a water / sewer project in Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Project will rebid but no definite date yet.** The project involves the replacement of the Johnsonburg Municipal Authority Watermain by conventional and directional drilling methods. This project is being financed by Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority The Contractor is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act of 1978, P.L. 6, as amended. The Act and amendments require that the Contractor use or furnish only steel products (as defined in the Act and amendments) which have been produced in the United States. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check or Bid Bond naming payee or obligee, as applicable, Johnsonburg Municipal Authority, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement, as well as other documents as required in the Bidding Documents. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. Contractor will also be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The successful bidder will be required to comply with prevailing minimum wages established by the PA Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination. Compliance with Act 127 of 2012 requiring all contractors and subcontractors to use e-Verify for verification of employment eligibility for all employees will be required. Verification form shall be provided to the Johnsonburg Municipal Authority as a precondition of being awarded a contract. The Johnsonburg Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or items therein, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids, and to accept any Bid which, in its judgment, is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. Bids shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of Bid opening. Awards shall be made only to responsible bidders that possess the potential ability to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of this procurement. Consideration shall be given to such matters as bidder integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance and financial and technical resources when determining responsibility.
