The Work generally consists of road surface improvements incorporating a graded seal coat or fog seal, including the supply of the asphalt emulsion and diluting water, pothole repairs and applicable temporary pavement markings to select roadways within the R.M. of Eldon No. 471 to improve the asphalt concrete pavement seal and waterproofing, and to reduce further surface material loss. Please see the attachment for more information. Roads to be improved will include the following:
o PART 1: Range Road 3233 between Township Roads 472 and 474 (2 miles) -- Graded Seal Coat
o PART 2: Township Road 472 between Range Road 3233 and 3235 (2 miles) -- Pothole Repair and Graded Seal Coat
o PART 3: Range Road 3240 south of Township Road 490 (3 miles) -- Fog Seal
o PART 4: Township Road 482 between Range Road 3230 and 3233 (3 miles) -- Graded Seal Coat or Fog Seal
o PART 5: PART 5: Township Road 480 between Range Road 3220 and 3233 (9 miles) -- Graded Seal Coat or Fog Seal Additional road sections may be added by the RM as a result of road inspections after the spring thaw. Tender Documents can be obtained electronically from BAR Engineering Co. Ltd., by request. Requests for the Tender Documents shall be made to Matt Jago at matt.iagoabarenq.ca. The Tender submission must be accompanied by a ten percent (10%) Bid Bond and Consent of Surety as well as an outline of the Bidder's safety program and policy, or valid Certificate of Recognition. The successful Bidder shall furnish Performance and Labour and Materials Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days following confirmation that the Bidder's Tender has been accepted. The Rural Municipality of Eldon No. 471 reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders or to accept the Tender deemed to be most favourable to the Owner, as described in the "Instructions to Bidders". The lowest of any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.
