The project is comprised of the installation of 2,500 LF of 12-inch water mains that ties into existing 8-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch water mains; 1,266 LF of 16-inch,1,682 LF of 12-inch, 1,628 LF of 10-inch and 1,306 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer; 25 manholes; and 1,379 LF of 12-inch force main that ties into an existing 12 inch force main. Location - The project is located primarily along NW 27th Avenue from NW 77th Street to NW 79th Street, along NW 79th Street from NW 27th Avenue to NW 31st Avenue, along NW 30th Avenue from NW 79th Street to NW 83rd Street, along NW 83rd Street from NW 32nd Avenue to NW 29th Court, along NW 29th Court from NW 83rd Street to north of NW 84th Terrace, and along NW 84th Street from NW 29th Court to west of NW 27th Avenue, all within in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Project Duration: 345 calendar days to substantial completion, 400 days to final completion, plus a 40-day contingency allowance Pursuant to County Code Section 2-11.1 (t), this solicitation is under a "Cone of Silence" until lifted. This contract has Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goals as follows: Construction 7.50%, Goods 6.50%, Services 0%. Goals are based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance. This contract has a 10.00% Community Workforce Program goal. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. NO BIDDER MAY WITHDRAW HIS BID WITHIN 120 DAYS FROM BID OPENING DATE. Estimated Range of the Base Bid - $5,007,454.83 to $6,058,743.69, not including contingency and dedicated allowances. The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to re-advertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for rejection of his bid.
