Renovation of a library in Salisbury, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Wicomico County is seeking bids from qualified Vendors to contract demolition and renovations of four (4) public restrooms and staff workroom bathroom, in conformity with the requirements contained herein Bid Documents. Location- 122 S Division St, Salisbury, MD 21801 Wicomico County is not responsible for the content of any Bid Document received through any third party bid service. It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to ensure the completeness and accuracy of their Completed Bid Documents. The last day for questions is noon on Thursday, April 6, 2023. Late Bid Documents will not be accepted. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. If you are an interested contractor and wish to be listed as a bidder, please notify our editorial staff at addtobidlist@constructconnect.com. 1. Construction Staging Area a. A portion of the rear-parking lot (Parking Lot 11) will be designated for construction parking, dumpster location, and general work area. b. This area will be closest to the loading dock. c. The rear building entrance shall be used for all construction activity, which is a RED door. d. Key Swipes will be provided to the lead construction team member(s). c. The Contractor is required to provide temporary restroom facilities for workers. d. The Contractor is required to provide dumpster for demolition debris. 2. Demolition a. Contractor to provide temporary bracing and shoring as required to accomplish demolition activities and maintain structural stability until new work is installed. b. Field verify all existing conditions. c. Existing work to remain shall be protected from demolition operations. d. Coordinate extent of demolition required with new work. e. Hazardous materials are not anticipated to be encountered. Notify owner immediately if suspected hazardous materials are encountered. f. Patch and repair surfaces as demolished items to match existing adjacent undamaged surfaces, including demolition required for new mechanical and electrical. g. Remove wall/partitions h. Remove door, frame, and associated hardware and prepare for new work. i. Remove door thresholds j. Remove plumbing fixtures k. Remove all existing toilet accessories; including but not limited to: toilet paper dispensers, mirrors, paper towel dispensers and sanitary napkin vending machines. l. Remove ceilings, including light fixtures and diffusers m. Remove floor finish down to concrete slab to extents shown: trench and patch as required for new work n. Remove in wall heater o. Remove all wall tile and patch as required for new work 3. Disposal a. It is the responsibility of the awarded contractor to dispose of the refuse. b. Contractor must keep areas free of debris to the best extent possible. 4. Installation a. New flooring tile and marble threshold b. New ceramic wall tile, gypsum wallboard, and high-performance wall coating on walls and trim c. Apply high-performance ceiling coating d. New plastic laminate doors
