The estimated quantities listed on the Bid Schedule are inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder. \ The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54, 62.15, 66.0901, and 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes. \ Portions of the project will be funded by Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) through a funding agreement with the Village. All bidders will be required to utilize a pre-approved contractor for all sanitary lateral replacement work. The project will not be awarded to the successful bidder if the sub-contractor list within the proposal is not complete and the sanitary lateral work assigned to an MMSD approved contractor. All provisions of the MMSD funding agreement must be adhered to when bidding this work. \ Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. The Bidder shall submit to the OWNER, 5 days prior to the bid opening, a Statement of Qualification on the form(s) provided by the OWNER and provided in the Appendix. \ Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. \ The Owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner. \ Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price. \ This advertisement is published by the authority of the Village of Germantown, March 15, 2023, and March 22, 2023.
