The Thruway intends to procure a contract for the application of reflectorized pavement markings (epoxy) along the Thruway Authority's roads, Service areas, and Interchanges Contract term: Date of OSC Approval to 12/31/25 with two (2) one (1) year options to renew All questions concerning this IFB must be addressed to the person listed herein. This contract does not cover any striping that may be required where striping is only a part of the total contract, such as a larger project let by the Authority's Department of Engineering. It is estimated that there will be between one and five mobilizations per year required in order to complete the estimated quantities listed in the Bid Submission Package. The Authority requires that once this work is scheduled it shall continue uninterrupted until the work has been completed. Sample traffic control requirements and specifications for lane closures are in the "Drawings & Charts" below and attached. Actual traffic control requirements for any job awarded under this contract, including Holiday traffic schedules, will be provided prior to the onset of the particular job. The Authority intends to remove all temporary (laminated or taped) striping prior to the contractor's application of the epoxy paint. However, should the Authority be unable to do so in time for the contractor's work, the contractor shall remove the temporary striping. Any temporary striping formed by a thin application of paint, however, shall be removed (painted over) at no extra charge to the Authority.
