Question Deadline: Thu Apr 6, 2023 5:00:00 PM (EDT) The Regional Municipality of York plants trees, shrubs and perennials along the Regional rights-of-way where capital projects have recently been completed. The Region anticipates issuing two (2) tenders for landscape planting and establishment activities to be released in late 2023 for the following locations: Keele Street, from Steeles Avenue to Snidercroft Road in the City of Vaughan Rutherford Road, from Jane Street to Westburne Drive in the City of Vaughan The Proposed Work includes some or all of the following and is anticipated to commence in April 2024: The supply, installation, and establishment of plant material, including wire basket caliper trees, potted shrubs and potted perennials, within planted medians, boulevard planters, and/or any other softscaped areas within the Regional right-of-way, and other specified areas, as defined on the contract drawings Establishment activities for trees includes watering, re-application of mulch, monitoring of stakes and ties, and conifer wrapping Establishment activities for shrubs and perennials includes watering, litter and debris removal, perennial deadheading, weeding, pruning, cutting back woody and herbaceous plant material, cultivating and fertilizing and re-application of mulch Supplemental manual watering of trees, shrubs and perennials Monitoring of Rain Bird IQ software for scheduling and system notifications of the automatic drip irrigation system General maintenance and minor repairs of Rain Bird ESP-LXMEF smart controller and automatic drip irrigation system, including spring startups and winterizations All vehicles shall possess an automated vehicle location system that meets the Regions specifications, and that the Region can access; and as further described in Section A of the RFPQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Deliverables").
