Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brunswick, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Estimated construction budget is around $1M. The work site is located at 220 Neptune Drive, Brunswick, ME. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the Drawings and described in these Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Earthwork, layout, grading, and drainage for eight (8) asphalt pickleball courts, a perimeter stone dust walking trail, asphalt parking lot renovations and internal concrete sidewalks. It should be assumed for bidding purposes that construction can start as early as May 15, 2023, but the start date is flexible, and will be substantially complete (including the skate park pad and asphalt paved pickleball courts if weather permits) by December 15, 2023 and final completion (pickleball court surfacing and balance of project) by June 15, 2024 No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and to negotiate with the firm that is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Fee will not be the sole criteria for selection; however, it will be a part of the selection process.
