Base Bid: demolition of existing mechanical screens and presses, remove and dispose of clarifier and aeration basin contents and existing diffuser racks, remove and salvage existing mixers, reseed aeration basins, furnish and install screening equipment, aeration basin mixers, diffusers, piping, and various related components Bid Alternate 1: remove and salvage existing blowers, furnish and install new blower and appurtenances Bid Alternate 2: furnish and install laced link filter screen, sluice with washing compactor The total Contract Time will be 240 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $1,000 per consecutive calendar day thereafter Minority and women business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder and the Desoto County Regional Utility Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, technicalities or omissions therein.
