The contractor shall comply with the statutory policy of the State of Missouri stating, "Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract." The contractor will forfeit a penalty to the contracting public body ten dollars a day or portion thereof if a worker is paid less than the prevailing rate for any work done under the contract by the contractor or by any subcontractor under them. The owner shall require the successful bidder to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond prior to the execution of the contract. The bonds shall be written in the amount of 100% of the total contract price. On any project of which there is a contract that is less than $300,000, the general liability coverage provided by the contractor shall be a minimum of $500,000 combined single limit and aggregate, as required by the school district.
