Greater New Haven Transit District is requesting proposals from qualified respondents for Janitorial Services to be provided at its two facilities. The Contractor must be a person or firm that regularly performs janitorial services and must have the necessary capabilities, equipment, personnel, training, and experience to successfully perform this contract. The term of the Agreement for this contracted service will be three years (April 1, 2023 - March 31, 2026). The District reserves the right to extend the Agreement for an additional two (2) one (1) year increments for a total of five (5) years. Any contract resulting from this Request for Quotes is subject to the financial assistance contract between the District and the Connecticut Department of Transportation. All Respondents will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible firms. Further, the firm will be required to comply with all applicable State required contract clauses as well as applicable equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. The District reserves the right to reject any or all responses as submitted by this Request for Quotes, and to waive informalities and irregularities, as it deems in its best interest. Contract Award (estimated): Friday, March 24, 2023 Effective Date of Contract: Saturday, April 1, 2023 Questions Due: Thursday, March 16, 2023 by 2:00 PM GNHTD Response to Questions (estimated): Monday, March 20, 2023 It is the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that its proposal is delivered to the District by the date and time referred to above. All costs associated with the preparation and delivery of a proposal are the sole responsibility of the Respondent. Respondent shall not include any such expenses incurred in the development of a Proposal or any costs incurred prior to the execution of a formal contract. A submission of a Proposal will be considered by the District as constituting a legal offer (valid for at least 90 days) by the Respondent to perform the required services.
