The Town of Barnstable is seeking responses from a professional firm or team with blended expertise in the areas of architecture, landscape architecture, and site engineering to support the development of a Master Plan for Town-owned parcels surrounding the Barnstable Adult Community Center (BACC). The objective of this project is to evaluate opportunities for infill development of affordable housing targeted to seniors, as well as to enhance recreational opportunities on this site and recreational connectivity with the adjacent Barnstable Public School property. The BACC is a heavily used public facility that provides services to citizens who have expressed a desire for improvements like an accessible path and expanded outdoor recreational options. To implement the Master Plan the Town also seeks recommendation with respect to zoning or other regulatory approaches to allow development of affordable senior housing, a priority of the Town's Housing Production Plan.
