Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Sayville, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Sayville Fire District will receive bids for the Removal and Replacement of the Existing Truck Bay Concrete Slab for the Sayville Fire District Station No. 2 located at 281 Broadway Ave. Sayville, NY 11782. All bids must be accompanied by either a certified check payable to the "Sayville Fire District" in the amount of 5% of the total bid price, or a bond with sufficient sureties to be approved by the "Sayville Fire District" in the amount of 5% of the bid price. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will enter into a contract in accordance with the bid and will furnish a suitable security bond in the sum of the amount of the contract, conditioned for the faithful and prompt completion of the work specified in the contract. If the bidder neglects or refused to execute the contract and furnish the bonds, the deposit of 5% of the bid price shall be forfeited and retained by the Sayville Fire District as liquidated damages or, in the case of a bid bond, the Sayville Fire District shall enforce payment of the bond for its benefit. No offshore bonds will be accepted. Bonding company shall be 'A' rated or better. Performance, Labor, and Material payment bonds on the forms within the Specification Book for the full amount of the contract are required and shall be included in the bid price. All Contractors shall have Admitted Insurance with 'A-'rating or better. Exclude from all bids New York State Sales Tax on materials or supplies purchased for this project. Pursuant to section 220 of the Labor Law, the contract will contain a provision that every mechanic, laborer and workman employed in or about the work contemplated by the contract shall be paid not less than the prevailing rate of wages and provided with not less than the prevailing supplement which are set forth in the Bidding Documents. The wage law effective January 1st, 2022 states all contractors are responsible for paying proper wages (including minimum wage per local, state, and federal authorities). Bids are to be enclosed in a separate sealed envelope, which shall be clearly marked with: Sayville Fire District Station No. 2 Additions and Alterations 281 Broadway Ave. Sayville, NY 11782 Bid for: Removal and Replacement of the Existing Truck Bay Concrete Slab The Sayville Fire District reserves the right to waive any informalities in, to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder or to advertise anew if in the judgement of the Sayville Fire District is in their best interests to do so. No bidder shall withdraw his bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. All contractors must hold their bid for 45 days.
