The project proposes the installation of a bike path/trail along portions of Cleveland Heights Boulevard and WestoverStreet in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida. The scope of work includes the installation of 4'' and 6'' thick (10' wide) concrete sidewalks, an asphalt trail, block retaining walls, detectable warning surfaces, type D curbs and curb ramps, removable bollards, inlet protection devices, pedestrian channelizing devices, signage, and landscaping. The scope also includes the removal of concrete sidewalks, driveways, asphalt, chain-link fences, light and utility poles, trees, tree stumps, pavement markings, and signs as well as minimal crosswalk regrading, and the relocation of markers and playground equipment. Some work extends slightly past existing right-of-way (ROW) (see plan sheets 32 & 33 Attachment A). The project involves minimal ground disturbance.
