As of June 22,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded next month. The County of Carroll, Virginia, is accepting competitive sealed bids for the replacement of the chiller cooling system located in the County Complex at 605 Pine Street, Hillsville, VA 24343. The selected bid will provide all services and equipment to remove current chiller system, disposal of current system, install new system, and all tasks required to have new chiller system fully operational. These services include but are not limited to: 1 Removal and disposal of all existing equipment including but not limited to: A 300 Ton McQuay Chiller - Screw Chiller B Chiller Tower C Circulating pump 25 HP 1510 4E - County will retain possession D Circulating Pump 20 HP 1510 5BC - County will retain possession 2 Installation of all new equipment including equivalent or greater: A 300 Ton Screw Chiller B Chiller Tower C Circulating pump 25 HP 1510 4E - Bell & Gosset D Circulating Pump 20 HP 1510 5BC - Bell & Gosset E Duct work necessary to tie in new system F Plumbing necessary to tie in new system G Electrical necessary to tie in new system For any Contract for construction, the amount of which exceeds $500,000, the Contractor shall furnish to the County the bonds required under Sections 2.2-4336 and 2.2-4337 of the Code and shall otherwise fully comply with the requirements of such sections of the Code. The County reserves the right to require payment and/or performance bonds in the amount of the Contract for any other Contracts, whether or not required by such sections of the Code. The Carroll County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to refuse or reject any or all bids or to accept a higher bid if it is felt the higher bid holds additional value to the Carroll County Board of Supervisors
