Renovation of a detention facility in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a five-story above grade detention facility.
The project includes replacement of equipment and cab finish improvements of one or two elevators in the Park Building at Western Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center. The Park Building is a five-story building within WRDCC used for both housing and treatment. The Park Building has two elevators that appear to have been installed in the 1950s. At present, neither elevator in the Park Building is functional. The elevators exceeded their useful life and were no longer serviceable. The PE1 elevator has not been functional for approximately seven years and the PE2 elevator has not been functional for approximately three years. It is the Owner's objective to ensure the Park Building is accessible for the health and safety of prisoners, staff and emergency personnel at WRDCC by providing functional elevators. Every request for interpretation shall be made in writing and submitted Question Deadline 07/05/2023
