It is the intent of this "RFP" to seek bidders to remove existing membrane liner system and to design, fabricate and install a replacement liner system along with new baffle curtain system in the 8- million-gallon (MG) reservoir located in Ballou Park Recreation Park (760 West Main St.). The existing Polypropylene/Hypalon geomembrane liner along with the Hypalon geomembrane baffles shall be removed and disposed of. New certified 40 mil NSF ANSI 61 White PVC liner material with 8 oz Geotextile padding will be installed. New 35 mil NSF ANSI 61 black Hypalon (or 40 mil PVC) material hung to replace baffle curtains following the same route pattern as existing. Both the liner and baffle material shall be NSF ANSI 61 approved material and able to withstand continuous immersion in finished drinking water treated with chlorine at a maximum concentration of 4 PPM. All support columns and overflow outlets will be wrapped from bottom level to the wall height to match full capacity water level same as interior liner height. Liner tops on columns and overflows will be secured above full water level. All inlet/outlet, drainpipes and apertures will be covered and attached to the interior lining material The scope of work will include full demolition and disposal of the existing Polypropylene/Hypalon geomembrane liner along with the Hypalon geomembrane baffles. Once existing liner has been removed, provide city with required amount of Gunite material repairs that must be done before new liner can be installed. New 40 mil NSF ANSI 61 White PVC liner material with 8 oz Geotextile padding will be installed. New 35 mil NSF ANSI 61 black Hypalon (or 40 mil PVC) material hung to replace baffle curtains following the same route pattern as existing. All support columns and overflow outlets will be covered the entire height to match above full capacity water level same as existing interior liner height. All inlet/outlet pipes, drainpipe and apertures will be covered and attached to the interior lining material. bidders will submit proposal based on the attached drawings from the original installation of the liner in 2000. The City will drain the reservoir prior to notice to proceed is awarded. This will allow successful bidder time to enter reservoir to take measurements for verified quantity of materials and to begin removal of existing materials. Bidder will have full access to the reservoir to begin project setup at that time. Arrangements will be allowed for installation of any temporary services prior to the removal of the reservoir from service will be allowed. The number of calendar days within which, or the dates by which, the work is to be substantially completed and completed and ready for final payment (the Contract Times) are set forth in the Agreement Question Deadline 03/31/2023 at 12:00 PM ET
