Summary of Work: The Project consists of cleaning and replacing existing mechanical ventilation systems and distribution ductwork and window replacement at two buildings in the West Roxbury and Roslindale neighborhoods of Boston, Massachusetts, including all improvements as indicated on the drawings and specifications. 1. Remove and replace exterior windows including related interior finshes work as described in documents. Perform all work as detailed, including removal, replacement, repairs and/or re-finishing of adjacent materials necessary to complete the work. 2. Perform exhaust ventilation work including replacing bathroom exhaust grilles, Clean ducts and replace rooftop exhaust fan units 3. Provide all labor, material, equipment, and services described in documents or reasonably necessary removal and legal disposal of asbestos containing materials (ACM). Work includes all required measures to prevent uncontained asbestos contaminated dust or debris being created. 4. Install temporary barriers, protection, and controls to restrict access to the work areas and maintain safety for the building occupants, employees, guests, and bystanders. See also requirements for temporary partitions used in conjunction with work within apartment units. 5. Provide all lifts or scaffolding required to perform window replacement and related exterior wall work. 6. Remove and reinstall existing handrails, fences, electrical components, wall-mounted items or other items as necessary to facilitate performing the work. Restore any landscaping, paving or other site features damaged during the work. 7. Deduct alternate 1: remove and replace common area storefront windows and doors C.
