Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Chelan, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The desire for an upgraded skatepark has been established. This project has had a placeholder in prior CIP budgets for several years. Currently a skatepark feasibility study is ongoing and is to be completed by the end of September of 2022. This project will recommend the best location for the skatepark and provide a conceptual design informed by community input. Don Morse Park, The PUD Athletic Fields and PUD property near the Butte Trail head are being considered. The project would entail the design and creation of a built in concrete skatepark. This project is included in the City of Chelan's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of March 30, 2023, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in 2025.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
