Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in De Soto, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Scope of the project will include programming and design of the second floor for future expansion of staffing to include office space, restrooms, meeting areas, and a break room. Currently the space is unconditioned and no sprinkler system is present as will be needed for occupancy. The overall project will include work to the exterior envelope of the building to ensure the area is sound for occupancy, exterior landscape planning, a second phase remodel of the first floor to optimize vacant space on the first floor created by staff moving upstairs, and security work to ensure the second-floor ties into the current security plan in place on the first floor.
