The bid security of the two lowest bidders will be retained until the Notice of Award has been executed, but no longer than sixty (60) days. The successful Bidder hereby agrees to commence and complete the work under this contract within the time schedule indicated and further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum as shown for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided. If the Notice to Proceed is issued after this date due to no fault of the Contractor, the completion dates will be adjusted by the same number of calendar days that the Notice to Proceed is issued past this date. Liquidated damages shall be assessed as indicated in the project General Special Provisions for every calendar day beyond the scheduled completion dates.
