The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment to carry out designated work associated with brushing and weeding of newly planted natural areas. The work to be provided is mainly for maintenance purposes but may also include other vegetation maintenance work. The annual work program will be provided by the Urban Forestry Section and the Engineering Environment Section and work will be scheduled in advance. The work must be done in accordance with: o British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association Standards o City of Surrey Construction Standards Brushing and Weeding is the control of unwanted vegetation growth in and around recently planted sites. It usually involves the manual removal of unwanted plants, including the roots, and the occasional use of line trimmers (or brush saws) to cut the unwanted vegetation. The City will provide dump sites for the vegetation cuttings. All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca. The Contractor will provide the Goods and Services for the period of 1 year commencing on (START DATE) and terminating on December 31, 2023 (the "Term").
