Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project is located at the MLK Transportation Center Parking Ramp, 501 Nebraska Street and includes concrete repairs, replacing sealant, brick and CMU (concrete masonry unit) replacement, tuckpointing, window replacement, barrier cable replacement, and various other repairs. Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfilment of the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, readvertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City The work on this project shall begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be fully completed by September 3, 2023. The Notice of Public Hearing will be published in the Sioux City Journal on March 25, 2023 and April 1, 2023.
