Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project or Work consists of the installation of an approximately 1,000 linear feet, 30-inch HDPE interceptor force main installed via horizontally directional drilling, 330 linear feet of 30-inch HDPE force main and 105 linear feet of 30-inch and 24-inch ductile iron pipe installed via open trench method. Additional work includes valves, air vents, line stops with bypass, abandonment of the existing sanitary force main and site restoration. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 and Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia is required. The Project or Work consists of the replacement of approximately 3,200 linear feet of Pre-Stressed Concrete Pressure Pipe (PCCP) with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. Procedures for submitting a Bid, claiming an error, withdrawing of Bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders. HRSD reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any informalities, or negotiate with the low bidder as described in the Instructions to Bidders. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall be submitted electronically with each Bid.
