Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Bid Security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashiers check. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. For this project Liquidated damages will apply in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1000) per day for each consective calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date of 102 days. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Caddo parish school board desires that bidders make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. This project consists of cutting out brick and terra-cotta areas of the building where movement cracks have cracked through the materials and replacing and/or repairing the materials, as shown by and/or noted on the Bid documents.This project also includes some painting ofmise, items, replacing ofsome steel lintels and flashings over 2nd Floor windows, caulking of masonry and metal joints, all as shown by and/or noted on the Bid documents.
