Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wichita, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and parking garage.

This project will modernize the public elevators 1-6 in the Main Courthouse (MCH) and the single elevator in the Historic Courthouse (HCH), due to end of useful life expectancy, and refresh cab interiors. Based upon review of the type and age of elevator equipment, several of the components are no longer in production or supported by the original manufacturer. This also includes upgrades to the areas surrounding the elevator controls in the HCH per Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department (MABCD) requirements. The project is included in the County 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 13,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
