The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following services: Boiler Plant testing and tuning in support of the Wainwright VAMC located in Spokane, WA
Technicians shall perform inspection, tuning, testing, calibrating, and adjustments of burners and boiler plant controls and boiler and auxiliary control devices. This shall be done in accordance with a schedule provided by VAMC Spokane. Boiler tuning and calibration shall be completed every October on the 350 hp boilers and every March on the 200 hp boilers. Auxiliary devices, and mainstream flow transmitters shell be calibrated annually.
The inspections, testing and calibrations shall comply with:
1) ISO 17025 calibration standards
2) The recommendations and requirements of 5Th edition safety device testing.
3) The written recommendations of the equipment manufacturers.
4) The requirements and recommendations of NFPA 85 Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazards Code
including applicable appendices.
5) Burner performance requirements in this document.
