Site work for a mixed-use development in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a fitness / recreation center; and water / sewer project.
The City of Port Wentworth is proposing clearing, grubbing, and grading activities in preparation for the future development of a recreational complex in Port Wentworth, Georgia. The project includes but is not limited to, clearing, grubbing, grading to provide drainage, storm drainage, erosion control BMPs, and establishing permanent grassing. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability." Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. All questions shall be submitted to engineer in writing by 5:00 PM, April 7, 2023. An addendum addressing all questions received by the question deadline will be issued via electronic mail by end of business on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
