The BCTS Prince George Business Area is responsible for Forest Service Road access to Timber Sale Licenses. This proposed contract will provide a first pass of road and bridge maintenance in on the Walker POB FSR, East of Prince George to gain access for future timber sales in the Walker Operating Area. See Schedule A - Schedule of Approximate Quantities and Unit Price Table for additional information. The purpose of this contract is to upgrade crossing structures and provide road maintenance to provide access to Timber Sale Licenses. Works include road maintenance - ditching, brushing, culvert replacement and repair to decrease water on the road surface. Also included is bridge repairs to an 18m bridge to meet load rating requirements. Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component).
