The work to be done consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment, and the performance of all work included in this Contract. This WORK includesfurnishing all labor, materials and equipmentfor the removal and replacement ofasphalt pavement, removal and replacement ofconcrete pavement, striping concrete swale ditch and drainage culvert cleaning. Promptly after award ofthe CONTRACT, the CONTRACTOR shall prepare and submit to the ENGINEER estimated construction progress and paymentschedules for the WORK, with subschedules ofrelated activities which are essential to its progress. Submit revised progress schedules periodically. CONTRACTOR shall submit proposed options and product substitution data and information for review by ENGINEERon the Substitution Request Formprovided herein. NO substitutions will considered unless written requestfor approval has been submitted by the PROPOSERand has been receivedby the ARCHITECT atleast seven (7) working days prior to the opening ofbids. All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction.
