Reference number : 1705454 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-04-05 University of Quebec in Montreal hereinafter called the Owner, having its head office at 1430, rue Saint-Denis, H2X 3J8, Montreal, Quebec, is requesting tenders for the development of premises to house the Boukala-Leduc Research Chairs, on the 4th floor of the Hubert-Aquin Pavilion (A) which is located at 400, rue Sainte-Catherine Est, Montreal. The scope of work consists of the demolition of the interior systems of the area and the construction of new premises to house various functions, including meeting rooms, a filming room, sound rooms, a research room, etc. A new unisex toilet with universal standards is also part of the mandate. All doors of the premises will be equipped with automatic door openers to satisfy customers with reduced mobility. Floor finishes will be replaced as will ceilings. Work to level the partitions will also be expected. The work will take place in the area of the new premises, but also in the common corridor adjoining the zone and in some neighbouring premises currently in occupation. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. The Contractor must ensure that users have access to the premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless environment. This mandate includes all development, demolition, protection, ragréage and other work necessary for the complete completion of the Work and all related work such as: development and cleaning of the site, temporary protection work, repairs and modifications of existing interior works. All jointing, repair, drilling work required for the work hereof is included. For the following work, detailed in the plans and in the different sections of the mechanical specifications, the associated subcontractors must submit their price individually to the Contractor. The following components of work must therefore each have a separate subcontractor: 1- Testing, adjustment and balancing of ventilation-air conditioning, plumbing and heating-cooling systems and networks. Refer to the mechanical specifications for acceptable subcontractors for this discipline; 2- Insulation work of ventilation-air conditioning, plumbing and heating-cooling systems and networks; 3- Plumbing, natural gas and heating-cooling work; 4- Ventilation-air conditioning and refrigeration work; 5- Fire protection work; 6- Automatic regulation work. The Contractor will have full responsibility for controlling access to the premises, the construction site. In situations where the Contractor must carry out work elsewhere in the building or in cases where it must cut electromechanical services, it will do so outside normal hours of occupation by users, according to the authorizations of the Owner. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
