The erie county water authority will receive separate, sealed bids to furnish and Deliver liquid chlorine in one ton containers to the erie county Water authority for use in the treatment of water for four Months When permitted, members of the public may be present to observe the bid opening. All attendees must bring a government-issued photo identification (driver's license preferred) and check-in with the ECWA receptionist before being allowed entry to the bid opening. Whenever the Erie County Water Authority is operating under a Declaration of Emergency due to a pandemic or other general state of emergencies, members of the public may be precluded from being present at such bid opening. Anyone entering the service center or other authority facilities is subject to such restrictions or limitations in place at the time of entry. Partial sets of documents will not be available Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The Erie County Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed to be for the best interest of the Water Authority even though the proposal chosen may result in the award of the contract to a bidder whose bid is not mathematically lowest. The final contract will be executed in the format set forth in the proposed Contract Documents located in this Project Manual. The Contract will be for a four-month term, with the potential for two additional one-year extensions. It is anticipated that the term of the original contract will be from May 1, 2023 through August 31, 2023, subject to the approval of Authority's Board of Commissioners.
