The work, in general, consists of crack filling an aircraft apron at Chico Regional Airport. The area consists of eleven acres of concrete apron, and 0.6 acres of an adjoining taxiway. Work includes materials, labor, services, mobilization, and equipment necessary to perform the work as indicated in the Project Description and General Provisions, and as necessary to complete the Contract. The location of the work is the Chico Regional Airport, 150 Airpark Blvd, Chico CA 95973. The Contract period shall be eighteen months (18) from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with the possibility of extension. Questions and requests for information must be submitted through the Public Purchase bid site. Responses to questions and requests for information will be posted on the bid site. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted by 5:00 P.M. seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening. LICENSING REQUIREMENTS - At the time the City awards the Contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess a Class A, C-8, C-12 and/or C-32 Contractor License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the Contract. Contractor shall also obtain a City of Chico Business License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the Contract. FEDERAL PROVISIONS - The work to be done is being financed in whole or in part by means of a grant made by the United States acting through the Federal Aviation Administration of the Department of Transportation. TITLE IV - CIVIL RIGHTS ACT - The City of Chico in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. PREVAILING WAGES: PAYMENT REQUIRED - Prevailing State and Federal wages are required to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bid bond in favor of the CITY OF CHICO in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the calculated annual bid price, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract. City of Chico reserves the right to retain the checks or bonds of the two lowest bidders until an approved contract has been signed. All other bidders' checks will be returned by the City of Chico.
