The scope of work includes: sanitary sewer line replacement, capping and abandonment of existing manholes and pipe, bypass pumping, excavation safety, roadway resurfacing, concrete pavement, traffic delineation, traffic control, water pollution control; and such other items or details that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, the Special Provisions and as directed by the Engineer. The Engineer’s estimated construction cost is $300,000. The Contractor shall possess at least the following valid Contractor’s licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class “A”: General Engineering Contractor. The Contractor shall have completed within the last five years a minimum of three Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects for one or more public agencies; these projects shall involve work of similar type and complexity, each project valued at not less than $200,000.00. There is no pre-bid meeting for this work; however, contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the site in advance of the bid to familiarize themselves with the nature of the existing conditions. All Bids Shall Be Presented Under Sealed Cover and Shall Be Accompanied by Cash, Cashier’s or Certified Check or a Bidder’s Bond Executed by a Corporate Surety Insurer. The Bidder’s Guarantee Shall Be in an Amount Equal to at Least Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid and Made Payable to the City of Concord.
