Roof renovations at the Cuyahoga Falls Library. Bids must contain the name of every person, firm or corporation interested therein and shall be accompanied by: 1. a cashier's check or a certified check, on a solvent bank in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the highest of any base bids plus all additive alternates submitted by the bidder. OR 2. a bid bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the highest of any base bids plus all additive alternates submitted by the bidder down in favor of the Cuyahoga Falls Library. The cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond submitted, shall be held as a guarantee that if the Bid be accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance thereof properly secured in accordance with O.R.C. 153.54. Prices shall exclude excise and sales tax. The successful bidder, within five (5) days after notification of the award, shall enter into a contract in writing with the Cuyahoga Falls Library covering all matters and things as are, in these specifications and his Bid set forth. The Library will retain the Bid of the three (3) lowest bidders until and after the contract has been entered into and secured by a performance bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract, with a surety for the faithful completion of the Roof Replacement at Cuyahoga Falls Library. No bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of the Bids. The Library reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, in whole or in part or any combination thereof; or to award a contract to other than the low bidder.
