Demolition, site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a 31,000-square-foot transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
All persons participating in the Project must obtain all licenses and permits and take all necessary steps to conduct business in the City and the State of Missouri. All work required under the contract, including proposing and carrying out contract, must be performed consistent with laws of the City and the State of Missouri. If not incorporated in the State of Missouri, Offeror must register with the Secretary of State office to do business in Missouri as a foreign corporation. The Offeror shall appoint an individual or organization, other than a government employee, as the corporation's process agent. The Design-Builder shall be, without expense to the City, responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits The City shall cause to be inserted in the contract a stipulation to the effect that the Design-Builder shall pay the prevailing hourly rate of wages, as found by the greater of the Missouri Division of Labor Standards or the federal wage rate, to all workers performing work under the contract. The DesignBuilder bond shall include such provisions as will guarantee the faithful performance of the prevailing hourly wage rate as established by the Federal Government and the Missouri Division of Labor Standards and provided by the City. The applicable wage orders are included in this RFQ/P. Owner reserves the right to withhold payments to Contractor until such time the Contractor corrects the breach or the Owner elects to terminate the contract. The Owner's notice will identify a specific date by which the Contractor must correct the breach. Owner may proceed with termination of the contract if the Contractor fails to correct the breach by deadline indicated in the Owner's notice. The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport (CGI) currently has two (2) operable, nested T-hangar buildings. Each building occupies approximately 14,820 square feet. The most recent of the two operable T-hangar structures was manufactured by Erect-A-Tube Additionally, there are three (3) inoperable T-hangars set for demolition that have exceeded serviceable life and are to be removed making way for future corporate box hangars. The outer two buildings are pre1981 and the middle structure is pre-1962. These buildings occupy approximately 31,000 square feet. The existing T-hangars proposed for demolition can be seen upon arrival of the airport property from Airport Drive. They sit parallel to Limbaugh Drive and are located end-to-end, oriented in the north-south direction. Due west of this area is the proposed location of the new T-hangars, which will be built north of the remaining T-hangars that are oriented in the east-west direction As evidence of good faith in submitting technical and pricing proposals, the short-listed offeror shall enclose a bid guaranty with its pricing proposal in the form of a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the total bid amount (including all possible alternates). On award of the contract, the successful Design-Builder shall furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each for 100% of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful compliance with all requirements of the contract documents and complete fulfillment of the contract, including payment of all labor, material, and other bills made in carrying out this contract 3/16/2023 Close of written Requests for Additional Information
