Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Livermore, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Temporary Faculty Village Modular Offices Removal & Parking Restoration Project at Las Positas College. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any and all items of such bids. This bid shall also be subject to any and all applicable laws, regulations and standards. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations Scope of work includes but is not limited to. 1. Disconnect utilities including, exterior electrical feeders and raceways, exterior domestic water and sanitary sewer lines, interior and exterior fire alarm and data devices. 2. Disconnect ramping system and handrails, interior and exterior signage, as well as interior finishes including tackboard & markerboards. 3. Removal of the portable buildings to be performed by Class Leasing. 4. Restoration of the parking area includes grinding down asphalt lifts, back-fill, patch-pave and slurry coat, site fencing reconfiguration, and re-installation of existing parking signs and wheel stops. 5. Salvaged materials as identified in plans and the summary of work shall be turned over to the CM. The estimate for the Project is $345,000. Question Deadline 04/17/2023 1. General a. Perform all demolition work in clean manner. Do not damage portable building owned by the modular vendor, Class Leasing. 2. Building Interior/Exterior: a. Remove all interior and exterior signage, including non-illuminated exit signs and maps, and turnover to CM. b. Remove tackboards and markerboards and turnover to CM. c. Disassemble the ramping system including metal ramp, metal handrails, wood supports and unbolt from AC. Palletize and turnover all material to CM. d. Remove metal handrail at the drinking fountain located at the restroom portable and store in the building for the modular vendor. 3. Electrical: a. Disconnect all electrical feeders, raceways, junction boxes and Unistrut from the exterior of the building to the electrical switchgear. b. Interconnection of the electrical from building to building shall be removed and disposed of by the contractor. c. Turnover electrical conduit "10' or more in length", copper cabling and rubber supports blocks to CM. d. Electrical distribution on the interior of the modular units shall remain including all panels, conduits, and outlets. e. Disconnection of electrical at switchgear to be performed by a licensed electrician. Breaker located in the boiler room at the Central Utility Plant in building 1100 shown on the site plan. This work shall be coordinated with the CM and the Maintenance and Operation department for lock-out tagout of the panel. f. Fire Alarm devices and panels to be salvaged and turned over to CM. g. Remove the grounding rods and turnover precast "Christy" boxes to CM. h. Service outlets on the building exterior to remain. 4. Data: Disconnect the below items and turnover to CLPCCD ITS department: a. Surface Mount Blocks (SMBs), quantity:7 - where access points (APs) and DAS Universal Access Points (UAPs) connect - one location per portable. These will either be two-port or four-port units. The contractor will not disassemble the SMBs. They will cut the data cables at the end and provide the SMBs to CLPCCD ITS. b. IDF cabinets, quantity 4 - cut fiber and copper cables connecting into IDF cabinets at connection on the rear of patch panels. Salvage the following items and turn over to CLPCCD ITS: i. Cabinet (side, lid, doors) ii. Copper patch panels iii. Fiber patch panels iv. Ground bus bar (removed from wall). Do not disassemble the cabinet or patch panels, as long as cabinet can be moved without damage. Contractor will be responsible for removing attachments to ladder rack above the cabinet and floor bolts, if present, so the cabinet can be moved from the current location. CLPCCD ITS does not want the ladder rack or bolts. c. Outlet faceplates with jacks only from Portable 5 (Office 250). Remove top and bottom labels. Unscrew faceplates behind label windows. Pull out faceplate and cut the cables. Provide faceplate, two (2) clear label windows and two (2) screws for every faceplate. Do not remove jacks from faceplate. Quantity: 26. d. Disconnect fiber and copper service to the buildings and coil lines in the service box at the street. 5. Plumbing: a. Cut the domestic water line at the restroom portable and add a valve and a traffic-rated valve box below grade. i. Underground piping to the service box at the street to remain. ii. Turnover brass ball valve and copper line to CM. b. Demo, above grade, sanitary sewer lines from the restroom portable to the associated tank. Tank to be removed by sanitary sewer vendor. c. Demo all condensation lines from the HVAC units. 6. HVAC: a. HVAC units and t-stats within the buildings belong to the modular vendor and shall remain. 7. Site: a. Fill any holes in the AC paving from modular building pinning and metal barricades. (Quantity approximately 500 holes.) b. Grind down asphalt lifts, as needed, to return the parking lot to the grade shown on the plans. c. Reconfigure existing site fencing to enclose the electrical switchgear at the street. Patch all holes at removed fence posts. Turnover all remaining fence panels and posts to CM. d. Backfill and patch the paving at the dry wells, the removed grounding boxes as well as the removed sewer storage tank. e. After removal of the modular buildings, patch pave, slurry seal coat and restripe the entire parking area per the existing site plan. f. Reinstall existing parking signs and concrete wheel stops stored at CM. B. The work shall include all work shown and specified except for work indicated "N.I.C" or "Not in Contract". C. During construction, all buildings will remain in service and be occupied during normal campus hours as this campus will remain active throughout the entire project. D. The Contractor must maintain access to all buildings, sidewalks, and paths of travel at all times during the project. The contractor is to provide secure fencing to keep the general public from entering exterior work areas. Fencing is required to have a privacy screen. E. Unless provided otherwise in the Contract Documents, all risk of loss of Work covered by the Contract Documents shall rest with the Contractor until Final Completion and Acceptance of the Work.
