Site work and renovation of a civil project in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, Water and Wastewater Facilities The completed Work will provide the Owner with various wastewater treatment plant improvements to increase the average day treatment capacity from 1.62 million gallons per day (MGD) to 2.0 MGD. More specifically, the Project includes, but is not limited to, construction of the following: Rehabilitation of the existing influent screw pump station, replacement of the existing mechanical screens, and rehabilitation of the final effluent pump station. New facilities to be constructed include a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) influent pump station, a three basin SBR process with post-equalization basin to replace the existing trickling filter and supporting processes, a new ultraviolet (UV) disinfection facility, an aerobic digestion facility, and a sludge dewatering facility. Additional improvements to be included as part of this project include various site civil and yard piping improvements, construction of a new administration and operations building, development of a SCADA system for purposes of monitoring the various unit processes, and various site electrical improvements including installation of a new standby generator.
