The project is located in the County of Santa Cruz as follows: In the unincorporated area of the County of Santa Cruz, The County intends to award up to three (3) A License General Engineering Job Order Contracts. A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity construction contract pursuant to which the Contractor may perform an ongoing series of individual Projects at different locations and facilities under the jurisdiction of the Owner. Job Order Contracting is typically used for small to medium sized repair and rehabilitation work, replacement in kind projects, and minor new construction. The Contract Documents include a Construction Task Catalog(R) containing Prepriced Tasks for construction work with preset Unit Prices. All Unit Prices are based on local labor, material and equipment costs and are for the direct cost of construction. Bidders will bid two Adjustment Factors to be applied to the Unit Prices. One Adjustment Factor for performing work during Normal Working Hours and a second Adjustment Factor for performing work during Other Than Normal Working Hours. The same two Adjustment Factors apply to every Pre-priced Task in the Construction Task Catalog. Proposal forms for this work must be uploaded via the online procurement portal, OpenGov Procurement. Copies of the forms are included in a separate book entitled: Book 1 of 3 Bid Book For Construction of DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE 2023 JOB ORDER CONTRACTING CIVIL, HORIZONTAL, AND PAVING Cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the County of Santa Cruz, of not less ten percent (10%) of the bid submitted, payable to the County of Santa Cruz and signed by the bidder as well as a corporate surety, shall accompany the bid. Bidder's bonds shall be issued by a corporate surety duly admitted and authorized to issue bonds and undertakings by the State of California.
