Site work for a water / sewer project in Calimesa, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of extending approximately 974 lineal feet of Water Main of sizes between 8 and 12 inches, and approximately 135 lineal feet of various sized Water Appurtenance lines with Fire Hydrants, Blow-offs, Combination Air Release-Vacuum Valves, and Customer Service Connections. The project is generally located at the intersection of Avenue “G” and Calimesa Blvd, including approximately 350 feet east within Avenue “G”, and approximately 550 feet north within Calimesa Blvd. The project is located within the City of Yucaipa (San Bernardino County), California. At the time of contract award, and during the time of the contract, the prime contractor shall possess a Class "A" contractor's license and/or any combination of Class "C" specialty contractor's license(s) sufficient to perform the work. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Construction Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Construction Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to South Mesa Water Company. It is required that surety companies executing bonds possess a certificate of authority from the California Insurance Commissioner authorizing them to write surety insurance as defined in Section 105 of the California Insurance Code. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the Bid as defined in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 95 days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. South Mesa Water Company reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. Pursuant to the provisions of California Labor Code Section 1770 et. Seq., the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations.
