Replacement of approximately 564 linear feet of substandard 6" VCP sewer main with 8" PVC SDR35 and three (3) corresponding manholes between S. Fayetteville Street and Page Street in Clayton, NC. The proposed replacement would be completed as a direct removal and replacement utilizing the same alignment as the existing 6" VCP sewer main. Sewer main bypass pumping will be required during installation to ensure no existing service is affected during construction. In addition to the removal and replacement of asphalt to perform the sewer main replacement, full width milling (curb and gutter section) and installation of 2" S9.5C Superpave Hot Mix Asphalt is proposed for the limits of the project per Town of Clayton Manual of Standards, Specifications, and Design (MSSD). An alternate bid option to replace the existing waterline and valves within the same project limits is included.
