Demolition and site work for a residential development in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

Shenango Township Board of Supervisors are accepting sealed bids for the demolition of a structure. As a part ofre-development ofthe property located 2627 Ellwood Road, New Castle, PA 16101, The Shenango Township Board of Supervisors are seeking quotes to demolish and legally dispose of all structures, debris, rubbish, and fencing on parcel #31-3909-196. Contractors interested in providing building demolition shall prepare a written quote to include, but not limited to, the following: he Contractor is responsible for all coordination with Shenango Township and building owner. 2. The contractor shall remove the structure including all items within the building; interior partitions/walls, beams, or other projections; floors; all footings and all normative material surrounding footings; and the interior. In addition, all concrete walkways, fencing, miscellaneous plan material around the building, etc. will be removed. No debris shall be left or buried on the site. 3. Contractor is responsible to proper disposal of hazardous materials as per State and Federal regulations. 4. All utilities and wires (gas, electric, water, sewer, and telephone) shall be disconnected per rules/regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. Sewer and water line must be cut and capped on the property side near the public right-of-way. 5. The contractor will be responsible for pulling and paying for all necessary permits The contractor will take whatever steps necessary to monitor the road for debris. 7. Excavated areas shall be covered with 3" oftopsoil, grass seeded, and evenly covered with straw to eliminate ponding and allow for mowing. Fill soils must be fine-grained oflow permeability 8. All rubbish or debris on site shall be removed from the premises during and/or upon the completion of work, leaving the site area acceptable to the Township. The Contractor is responsible for the proper disposal and recycling of all materials in accordance with local, state, and federal waste disposal laws. 9. The contractor will provide receipts certifying disposal ofmaterials at a legal dump site or recycling center (where applicable). 10. Erosion control shall be established prior to start ofdemolition activities and maintained throughout the completion of grading 11. No fill or land disturbing activity is allowed in any wetland. 12. Contractor must be a Pennsylvania state registered to perform the work and provide a copy ofthe certification. Contractor must provide evidence of proper disposal of all materials. 13. Public safety must be always considered. The Contractor must take precautions at all times to utilize and store materials and equipment in a way that will prevent injury to citizens. Before leaving for the day, the Contractor must ensure that proper signs, caution tape, physical barriers or other devices as needed to signal a hazard or restrict public access are in place. In addition, the Contractor must ensure safety oftheir workers by adhering to industry best practices, OSHA safety, and traffic safety guidelines as application for the activity being performed Prospective bidders will be required to bring personal protective gear (including hard hat, goggles, safety vest and mask) for access into the structures.
