Pursuant to the Osceola County Procurement Code and all applicable Florida Statutes Osceola County is accepting sealed formal bids for the project known as the Construction Services for Simpson Road Widening from Fortune Road to Myers Road North Section (Segment 2 and 4). This project consists of reconstructing Simpson Rd North Section (Segments 2 and 4) from 2-lanes to a divided 4-lane roadway including a 26-foot median and a 10-foot shared use path for bicycles and pedestrians on each side of the roadway. This project consists of reconstructing Simpson Rd North Section (Segments 2 and 4) from 2-lanes to a divided 4-lane roadway including a 26-foot median and a 10-foot shared use path for bicycles and pedestrians on each side of the roadway. 2. The Project length is 2.52-miles from North of the Fortune Simpson Road improvements Project (FPID 443548-1) to Myers Road. Stormwater ponds upgraded signalized intersections, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components, and areas preserved for landscaping are included in this project. 3. The Toho Water Authority (TWA) portion of this project consists of the installation of water, reclaim, and sewer relocations along Simpson Road - North Segment, Osceola County, Florida. The project includes relocation of TWA existing utilities as shown to avoid conflicts with the proposed County roadway project. The project included approximately 11,950 LF of DIP water main ranging in size from 6" to 30", approximately 8,450 LF of DIP reclaim water ranging in size from 6" to 12", and approximately 11,160LF of PVC force main ranging from 2" to 16". This project also includes the removal of approximately 43,850 LF water main, reclaim water, and force main along the project limits.
