Saving Project...

Renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in New Tecumseth, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for the addition of a water / sewer project.

The Brendan Holly Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), previously known as the Regional WWTP, has a rated capacity of 11,400 m3/d, with a peak flow rate of 30,000 m3 per day. The Brendan Holly WWTP is an extended aeration biological treatment facility consisting of screening, grit removal and septage receiving. This is followed by biological secondary treatment consisting of the extended aeration process which is followed by secondary clarification including return and waste sludge pumping, as well as scum pumping. Tertiary phosphorus removal is provided by the ballasted flocculation process which is housed in the effluent polishing building. Also housed in this building, is an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection process, a post aeration process and discharge effluent flow measuring. TIMELINE: Detailed engineering design is complete. Tender and construction timing will be finalized spring 2025 pending funding allocation. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
