2023 Liquid Fuels Mill & Overlay Project The project will include pavement resurfacing, including asphalt mill and overlay, pavement base repairs as necessary, and replacement of existing pavement markings with new pavement markings. Upon award of a contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the estimated cost of the total project is in excess of one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). The Borough of Lansdale reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding when, in the opinion of the Borough, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage. Prior to awarding the contract, bids may be held by the Borough for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid openings for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders. Perform 1.5" depth profile milling of the existing asphalt pavement surface. Milling limits will be marked out by the Borough/Engineer prior to milling. . Contractor shall provide a fully loaded triaxle dump truck and proof roll the milled surface with the Engineer to mark areas for base repair. . Perform asphalt base repairs, if and where directed by the Engineer. Construction of Superpave Asphalt Scratch Course, as directed by the Engineer. . Construction of 1.5" Superpave Asphalt Wearing Course. .Contractor shall replace all existing permanent pavement markings on resurfaced roadways in accordance with PennDOT Publication approved Traffic Signal Permit Plans, and the inventory of existing pavement markings.
