Renovation of a water / sewer project in Richmond, British Columbia. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Construction of an effluent Heat recovery (EHR) system to recover heat from the plant effluent stream (C3) using heat technology to provide the process-required heat to digesters. Thus reducing the heat demand on the existing boilers and allowing surplus raw digester gas to go to the Biogas Upgrading Facility at the LIWWTP. Install a high efficiency boiler which more closely meets the reduced loading demands created by the EHR system. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals to provide consulting engineering services for the Lulu Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (LIWWTP) Effluent Heat Recovery and High Efficiency Boiler Project has closed and a preferred proponent has been chosen. Further update once the project is approved to bid for construction. Construction budget is unreleased.
