Site work for a water / sewer project in Rochester, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reference Number: 0000315127 The scope of the work consists of Cleaning and Lining of approximately 6.4 miles of City water mains. This work is to be performed on various streets within the City, as shown on the Contract drawings. The water main rehabilitation method consists of mechanically cleaning the interior of the existing water mains to remove rust deposits and other foreign atter and then applying a corrosion-resistant cement mortar lining to restore hydraulic capacity, improve available fire flows, water quality and extend the useful life of the water mains. The contact requires the supply and maintenance of temporary bypass piping system a will be used to maintain fire protection and provide a continuous supply of water to our customers during construction. Some existing water main valves and fire hydrants will be replaced in this contract.
