As of July 29, 2024, per owner this project has been awarded and architect identified. Project is under construction. New Mexico Highlands University Request for Proposal is to Seek Out the Services From an Architectural, Engineering and Planning Firm to Provide the Programming, Planning, Design, Construction Drawings, and Construction Administration The Facilities Services Building on the Nmhu Main Campus in Las Vegas. All proposals shall comply with the New Mexico Procurement Code, and applicable federal, State and local laws. NMHU reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all proposals Total funding for the demolition and construction part of the project is $2.7M (excluding NMGRT). The Facilities Department is 12,000 square feet that is planned to be demolished and replaced with a new metal building of the same size. The scope of work includes programming, planning, design, parking certification, project manual development, bidding assistance, board of regents presentations, and construction administration for the project located at 1051 11th street on the New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) main campus in Las Vegas. Nature of the Project: The program will include the construction of a new metal building to house the Facilities Department administration offices as well as open warehouse-type work spaces.
